2010 Glasgow applicants/Interviews

My postman is unreliable and I havent had any mail delivered here for 3 weeks. Now starting to worry that I will miss ucas welcome letter (although Im on track) and any interview offers from Glasgow. I might have to email admissions and ask them to email me if Im selected for interview! Anyway, we wont hear anything for a good few weeks, so will just forget about it all for the now, and get back to my lovely, exciting busy nightshifts!

There are lots of postal strikes at the moment so I'm sure the admissions staff would be sympathetic. Have you tried using your Personal ID without the hypens to login? It worked for me.

That'a a scary possibility actually!

Because I received a letter from Manchester last year asking me to attend an interview, and it was sent by 1st class only (ok I don't blame them). But it wasn't on track either, so had the letter gone missing, they may have assumed I was not interested!

Oh gosh....I thought all interviews were shown on Track or at least emailed as well. I hope you get your letters soon then Polldoll.

Well my Newcastle interview was posted on track but my Manchester one wasn't.

Hey, getting on track isnt a problem, so guess if welcome letter goes awol, ts not the end of the world. But Glasgow dont update track if you do get interview, and I think only give you a couple of weeks notice. So if I get interview and letter is held up, or lost it really complicates things! I need to know as much in advance as poss to arrange a shift swap at work, and obviously dont want to miss interview as Glasgow is my one and only choice!! So yes, will be emailing admissions!!

I'm a graduate applying for entry at Glasgow - it's my main choice as I think the PBL is a fantastic way to learn and I love Glasgow Uni! How is everyone feeling about their choices? I applied for medicine in 2004 when I left school but can't for the life of me remember what the application process/watiing nervously was like!
Anyone know when we could expect to hear?

I think you should hear about interviews from December onwards. I got my letter just at the start of January, and my interview was about the 27th of Jan.

Oooh that is quite a wait. I'm sure when I applied all those years ago I heard I'd been invited to interview in November (int was in December for both GLA and Aberdeen), also had automatic rejection from Edinb in December I think. It's a tense time but I must say I'm so glad the whole application process is over!
