Stow's Access Course Director telephoned The Head of Admissions at the Med School when I was in for interview and the Head of Admissions said I would be better doing H Human Biology and H Chemistry as Evening Class. I already have an Honours Degree (non-science based) and would be classed as a "graduate" for admission purposes.

I'm surprised at that. There were science and non science graduates when i was on the course. Maybe it depends which medical schools you plan on applying to.

Perhaps. But I made it clear Glasgow was definitely the place I wanted to go do!
I'm a teacher and I think it had something to do with that - the Med School had said that it was useful experience and perhaps I was better gaining that (for admission purposes) and doing evening classes, rather than being full-time on the Access Course gaining no experience.

Hey everyone,
I applied to Glasgow for 2009 entry, I'm on the pathway to medicine course at perth college. I haven't heard anything from Glasgow with regards to my application, but there is a guy on my course who has been sent an interview date. I was wondering if any of you knew when they stop doing interviews, like when is the last date you are likely to hear from them if you are being considered? I'm quite worried because I have problems receiving my mail and if interview dates are communicated through letter, I may miss mine :-s
Would it be pushy of me to call them? Since I haven't had an unsucessful through ucas I figure they may be considering my application.
Thanks in advance!

definitely give them a call, they will get phoned up all the time with similiar stuff. Its not like their not going to consider you if you phone because they think your pushy!
