freshers week..what is worth going to if youve done freshers before?!

hey,

I am really looking forward to starting uni but was wondering if the freshers pass is worth getting and if all events are a must go?i went to everything when i did my 1st degree but since ive done freshers before i think ide like to pick and choose what to go for..what are other people planning to do?

does every1 go to freshers or do people generally arrive in time for term to start?

Not at glasgow but my $0.02.

Unless you've done freshers with the medics at glasgow and have mingled with and got to know your year - I'd go.

Yes, at my school at lease, some people don't bother to come to freshers, but then they don't come to anything. Their loss IMO.

It was mentioned in the other thread someone hadn't got one. Do you know of people who do have them?

hey i've never heard of keys setting the alarm in the SL off before, although it probably has happened! one time i was going out and the doors locked for the person in front of me for no reason (that is really rare tho!)

Mine vanished too

Is it just me or the booklet with the title "Using IT at the University of Glasgow and within the Medical Course" has pages missing at the start? The first page of mine just starts half sentence. Seems like Glasgow has made a mess of this

It's just you. Haha, only kidding. The pages are back to front; just undo the staples and flip the pages. It took me a few seconds to realise what had happened.

I didn't get a Freshers' pass form either but have e-mailed the SRC. But, lmao at Surgo!

ahhhh surgo - i have yet to see this years Freshers Edition but if its anything like all the other issues it should involve some loss of control over bodily functions mid-read.....

and as for freshers - make sure you go to the freshers fair. with that and the medics integration day, you will be able to stockpile enough stationery and free t-shirts, hip flasks, stupid gadgets etc to see you through your degree
