    Anyone applying for 2007 entry?

    Hey guys.

I'm a post results student and I'm applying to Glasgow for 2007 entry.

I would like to know who else is applying to Glasgow for 2007 entry?

Are you a pre or post results student? Graduate? Mature or resit?

    Home or international?

    Tell us all.

Well your UKCAT score is bloody awesome compared to mine (I scored below 500) which is extremely $**t apparently. So I'm clutching straws that the unis may have been telling the truth when they said that this year they wouldn't be looking much into the UKCAt results and that they'll look at my whole application rather than one little piece of detail.

    Is glasgow your first choice?

P.S. Bring the PMS thread to life!

I think the main thing is you took the UKCAT, I think that there will be a lot of people who didnt take it and they could get a straight out rejection for not taking it as its part of the admissions requirements. However, I dont think they are going to check every single applicant to see if theyve sat the exam. Somebody said somewhere else they will only take it into serious consideration if they have 2 borderline candidates and have compared them with everything else. I think there is more truth in the latter. Cardiff and Manchester are my first choice (theres no way I'll get an offer from both so im hoping I get an offer from one of them!) then PMS/Glasgow I couldnt rank them in 4 lol. I know what you mean nobody seems to be talking! GrrrRrRrR I want information!! LOL I would love to know EXACTLY where my application is I think I will have passed on if I have to wait until April to find out!

Well I'm not going to rank any of my unis in order. I'll be happy with an offer from any one of my four although I do like the look of Southampton and Glasgow.

As for what they're doing with our forms, I bet they're using mine as a coffee coaster and using it to silly little doodles when they're bored.

Either that or it's lining a waste paper bin.

Yeah this is going to be a looooong wait.

The prospectus does say that they begin their interviews in late October. Although decisions on offers are sent in March

Can you imagine being interview before Halloween and then being told on St Patrick's day that you have an offer?

Think of how much the world will have changed by next March:

    - David Beckham will have retired.
    - Sven will still be in a hot tub with Fariah Alam and being paid for it by the FA.
-Tony Blair will still be at No. 10.
    - Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes will have had another child.
    - Cookery programmes will be on every single channel and Saturday Morning kids shows will cease to exist.
    - The Happy Days box set will finally go on sale in the UK!!!!

    Hey

im a graduate thinking of applying to glasgow. Ucas form is all complete, but just can't decide on my last option, Glasgow or leicester?? help lol! is glasgow graduate friendly? Also it says in their booklet thing on their website:

"Assessment of mental abilities and behavioural attributes will
be included in the admissions process for those wishing to
be admitted to Undergraduate Medicine from 2007 onwards"

Are they talking about the UKCAT here or a separate exam?? (I got a pretty average score of 630)

I think they might be referring to the ukcat but I'm not sure.

But as I keep making it clearing I did really really bad on the ukcat (below 500 average) so I am already throwing in the towel before the process has even begun.

    Oh well :P

Late October eh? We were wondering the other day when you'd all start sitting in those doom chairs.

If you're lucky, you'll hear before March, but most people will likely have to wait till the end. And yes, it's painful (sorry!).

TSN - Quite a number of graduates around the place, and if you look in a few other threads you'll hear what they have to say about it. From my eyes it's pretty friendly, but I'm not a graduate so can't really be sure.
