Lightbulb Transfer to Glasgow

Hi,

Was looking for some help. Am transferring to Glasgow Med School in September from St Andrews and was wondering if there were any 3rd years here who could give me a bit of advice about Glasgow.

I am a "mature" grad student at the grand old age of 26 and was wondering also if there was any other mature students at Glasgow.

Look forward to hearing back from you

Hey Fiona,

I was just wondering kinda basic stuff like how do the holidays work, when does term start, where are we supposed to be.....we havent really been told anything....I don't even have any idea where to look for accomm as am too old to go back into halls....

I'm sure you will be fine this year, and if so, see you next year! If you could just give me a little bit of info about where we go at the beginning of next year...do we have to matriculate and stuff like that? Sorry, just in a bit of a panic!

Thanks, in advance, for your help!

Juliette

you could try the Unite Student Accomodation halls in town - they have a website (just google it). They take postgrads i think. Or could check the GSPC website if you wanna look for a flat to rent.

You will be sent a letter by the medschool telling you where and when to go to matriculate, where to go for orientation, where to go for your health check etc - dont panic!
