    Gp training family life

I've currently applied for medicine and family life is really important for me.

Will the extension of the Gp training by 2 years make it more difficult for a female to have a family?

    thanks

There is no reason why you cannot have children during your core GP training. Once you have worked for the NHS for one year you're entitled to 6 months maternity leave i think.

Plus as you have not yet got to clinical years of medical school you may change your mind about wanting to be a GP!!
