Unhappy Changing Courses

I always thought i wanted to be a engineer, i was good at science, engineering as i always wanted to learn more about how things worked but lately i have been studying biology in my spare time and now i am bummed! i want to study my A levels and go into medical school but at the moment i am doing a 2 year course for uniformed public services now i want to be a doctor i know this is a waste of time. should i continue with this or should i quit and do my A levels in a year when the term starts ¬.¬ i really want to be a doctor specialized in genetics but my father is very strict and always wanted me to be in the military, i doubt he will be happy with me changing professions so late on in the term i had trouble with getting him to deal with me and engineering now what about being a doctor. i know i won't change my mind on this one, i am hooked! all starting with my first aid training with the Air cadets, my science teacher and the show House MD hehe XD should i do the U.P.S course then A levels or just quit otherwise i won't get into university till i am 20 ¬.¬

20 is very young so that answer is do what you feel is best! If you wanted to drop out and do A levels now, the term is still quite early, u might be able to persuade a college to take you on but it would mean hard work catching up! I wouldn't worry about entering at 20 though, there are a lot of people applying for medicine at much older than that!
Good luck
