i had my interview around 2 months ago and only recently started work as a HCA at a hospital. i think they just generally wanted to know why i wanted to do the job, and to see if i knew what was involved in the role of an HCA. They asked about how patient confidentiality and dignity, and my past caring experiences etc - i was quite honest and told them ive never had any experience in health care other than during volunteering at old care homes etc, but explained that i was willing to learn.

Hi. I'm working as a HCA at the moment in a care home...are you applying to a hospital post or a nursing home because the questions will vary.

At my interview they asked those annoying probing questions like 'what is the first word that you associate with elderly ppl?' and others about what experiences of care and nursing you have (refer to any w.exp you have done).
