Taking part in drama/acting at university with braces? A problem?
Hello there.
Apologies is this might be in the wrong place but I didn't know where else to ask this.
Basically my question is would wearing braces pose a problem with regards to taking part in drama and acting opportunities at university? I'm having some braces fitted in a few weeks (standard metal "train track braces) which need to be in place for 2 years after which time I'll have an operation on my jaw to completely straighten out my teeth.
I would very much like to take part in acting etc. but I'm just worried that having these braces will pose a problem. Will that be the case?
I just think without the braces, I'd be worse off with regards to the whole acting thing. Seems like a Catch 22 situation.
Any advice guys and girls?

I don't think it will be a problem at all. I've seen a number of people perform pm a west end stage with braces and it hasn't hindered their clarity or projection.
