Had to cancel my ukct & gamsat this year--really guted!

I have had my UKNARIC statement of comparison come back stating that my overseas degree which clearly says 'B.Sc Honours' is not
comparabl to a UK Honours degree. I have contact all the Unis I am applying to and unfortunatelyI am not eleigible to apply
through the Graduate Entry Programme unless I do an M.Sc.
What can be so demoralizing that that?? Does anybody have ny news to console me. Any chance fo me on MBBS 5?
Some please lift my spirit as I am gradually loosing it>>>>>>>>

I also need to know if one can use Gamsat Ireland in March next year to apply for 2014 admission in UK???????????????

The GAMSAT Ireland in March 2013 should be acceptable for 2012 entry as it is acceptable for 2 rounds of entry, ie. 2013 and 2014. If you were to do a Masters, not only would universities accept it, it could and probably would put you ahead in the application process when compared to someone who has just done a BSc. Maybe it is a good thing? If you were to do a masters and get a good result then the worst case scenario is your plans have been pushed back a year. If that's not too much of a problem for you then you could use that year for work experience etc... and boost your chances for 2014 entry?

thanks for the reply. just managed to pick myself up today. i have reregistered my ukcat today just to have an experience of taking it and see how it goes. i guess i can console myself being nursing student but i have to wait another 2 yrs to graduate since i am still in 1st year.
i had thought i could use my 1st degree to apply this year. i have deferred my Gamsat to Sept 2013 paying £35 deferement fee. if i had thought about it properly, i could have asked for a refund and use the money for Gamsat Ireand in March 2013.

Either way, the £35 deferring fee is cheaper than another £222 for a new GAMSAT! I hope you get to where you need to be, good luck in your UKCAT!

If you have a masters and 2.2. you dont have to get 5 higher points than someone with a 2.1 at notthingham. also it can be a masters in anything so a online masters by the open university or liverpool university should be just as ok as long as it is recognised as a Level 7 qualification by OFQAL.
