Gamsat/ukcat revision help!

Hi all!

Ok so I need advice on exactly what to do.

GAMSAT
1. I am confused as to what to go for in terms of revision courses? Is the GURU method good? I am from an arts background and wanted to sign up to GradMed but their FULL course is fully booked (even their waiting list). So does anybody have any ideas/materials that they have experience of that would really help prepare? I have the ACER books but need somewhat of a guide to assure myself that once I have completed it and know it well I should get a high score.

2. I am planning on taking the GAMSAT in September. However are there later one's available in other areas of the country? I have been reading posts where people are saying that they may take the GAMSAT again in March. Isn't this too too late for medical school applications for the 2013/14 entry?

UKCAT
- Again I have the 600 UKCAT question book however I feel I need more help. Any advice on what helped you get good scores in all the areas?

- Also is there a list of graduate universities anywhere and what they need. I know Newcastle want UKCAT and GAMSAT.

For 1. I haven't used Guru Method myself so can't advise on that. I have heard Des O'Neill's is quite good, but again I haven't used it. There are plenty of threads on here about GAMSAT materials, have a trawl through...

For 2. If you are applying for 2013 entry, the last time you can sit the GAMSAT is the Sept sitting. The March date has already passed, and March 2013 will only be for 2014 entry.

Advice for UKCAT is just practice practice practice as much as you can. Get your hands on any similar materials. I had some Kaplan course notes which were very useful, if not a little easier than the real thing.

Finally Newcastle are not a GAMSAT uni (not last time I checked anyway!).
