What to revise for the GAMSAT?

    Hi,

I was just wondering whether anybody knew or had a link to the GAMSAT syllabus i.e. what areas of chem/biol/physics that should be revised? It is necessary to revise an entire AS + A2 syllabus or are certain topics/areas more important than others? I cant seem to find any information on what exactly I should cover (I hope I havent started revising too late!?). Any help would be much appreciated!

    Cheers.

I've recently been concentrating on Biology, but after looking through some past-paper questions, I've realised that with a basic knowledge of the fundamentals, you can get by in the exam by using the information given. In that light, I'd concentrate on the following topics for Bio, but spend most of your time working on your Chemistry.

The following subjects are from my experience the most likely to come up; but not an exhaustive list:

    The Cell
    Osmosis/Water Potential and the like..
    Heart Structure + Function
    Genetics
    Respiration

If you spent 2-3 hours each day studying (maybe a few more on you days off), you could probably get through that in 2-3 weeks to a high level. Use Khan Academy and an A Level text book such as Collins. These topics are quite basic, and most importantly, interesting; as such, I've found them quite easy to remember and recall.
