    gamsat scores submission

hey guys i'm in the process of taking gamsat in march and hopefully again in september and i am faced with a dilemma. when submitting gamsat scores to universities (with ucas applications) is it a gamble if you choose to submit your september score instead of the march scores? do the universities have the ability to pick the highest score or is it simply up to the applicant to submit one of their score? is it possible to submit both scores? what if i choose to submit the september scores and as it turns out the march scores were much better.. what happens then?!

    help please..

    Hi Mikku,

It's up to you to select the highest score. As you complete the application process for universities, you are asked to select which past score you want to use. You can use any result from the past 2 years. I hope I'm correct in assuming that you will be applying for unis after the September exam.... In which case you'll be able to select the highest of your March or September exam scores.

but the thing is, you won't know your september scores till after you've submitted your application. therefore you risk submitting your lower score (if the september score was submitted and it turns out to be a lower value than the march score) in the process, am i correct?

If you score better in March than September, you can submit the March score.

But you really should do this first, as some uni's act fast. If the Sept score is better they will take that. But will base their cut off's from the data that they have at the time, so they may not be happy to have you say "here's one I made earlier" and disrupt their numbers.

so what you mean is that they (med schools) will have a record of your attempts? doesn't every gamsat exam has a specific id? ahh i'm over-thinking this now /facepalm

no you're right... I don't see the point of sitting the GAMSAT in september as you'll never know the score untill after you've made the application, seems liek a huge gamble to me.

Sit it once in march seems to make sense to me.
