Can I take the GAMSAT again, even if this is my second attempt?

    Hi Everyone,

I wondered if someone could help me out. I took the GAMSAT once before, and I didn't do that great.
So I want to re-sit it this year. I, like everyone else, am quite stressed out at this point and feel as though perhaps my prep isn't up to scratch. So I was wondering if I gave it this september and didn't apply to nottingham
etc, and I failed to acheive the pass marks, would I be able to re-sit the GAMSAT next year? Without
"prejudice" or penalisation by the unis?

From what I understand, you can sit the GAMSAT as many times as you like - it is a test run privately by ACER so as long as you pay you can do it every year if you like! The uni's aren't informed how many times you take it, the only get sent your test score [the best one].

The only restriction is on how many times the uni's will interview you - Notts and SGUL will interview you twice max.

    Hope that helps

    No penalization
    No prejudice
They'll only examine the scores you choose to submit.
And, you don't have to wait 1 year to re-take (of course, hopefully you won't need to re-take!) because you can sit GAMSAT Ireland in the UK in March. Any GAMSAT is accepted at any medical school in any country that has the GAMSAT as a prereq. You can get more details here: GAMSAT Scores.

if you fail you won't be able to do it again, because that's the rule :-)

is that sarcasm? Because there is definitely no such rule. There is no limit to the number of times one can retake and there is no previous score requirement in order to retake.
