Hi guys would it be too bold of me to suggest we take some broad topics for essays and maybe brainstorm some points together for preparation?
I did an essay based on quotes about prison and punishment-
entitled it 'Is punishment of crime by prison internment redundant'
my main points were

it benefits community by keeping criminals off the street
it is a good deterrent for crime

but once in the system fear is replaced by rebellion
society are choosing a quick fix leading to long term problems
and rounded off saying that society should aim for prevention through education rather than punishment or indeed as a prelude to punishment.


any one any suggestions on other points? Or wanna go through arguments on another topic?

I really like this plan, it's clear, it flows nicely, it has 2 major points that counter each other and it's literate. really good essay plan!

This is a great idea guys. We've a week left. Anyone up for taking a topic a day to brainstorm on? Any takers?

Perhaps something like Suffering to start off with to throw us in the deep end. Just need to find a quote to relate it to.
