All my eggs are in St George's basket. I have my interview this week and am just hoping my mouth works on the day, and I don't go into the interview with strange products of children stuck to the back of my suit!!
I am getting very nervous - I want this so badly, and I am getting a bit old to keep trying, although my GAMSAT score is good enough for next year if I stuff up the interview.
I know they would want me if they knew me....and no - not superwoman - just woman!

Fingers crossed then. I'm sure you'll be fine. Is this the 1st year you've applied?

Do you look like Mary P?
It will be like being a freemason - trying to work out who wrote on the forum without giving too much away!
I guess I will be easy to spot - snot covered and tired!

Hello very interesting forum I must say!!!

My question is if there is anyone who has done the gamsat's whilst working fulltime and doing nightshifts as well?? I know gringle had a lot on her plate whilst preparing for the GAMSAT, but anyone done weird hours of the morning and still coped to get a high enough score in the GAMSATS??

I managed to pass the GAMSAT doing horrendous hours at work. In the run up to xmas was doing 80 hour weeks. Took 2.5 weeks off over xmas and the 1st week of Jan when I did all my revision. I'm an arts grad. so if I can do it anyone can do it

Ah you can call me Medi, its easier and I haven't actually thought about the spelling myself.

Yeah we could be called the Forum Masons... or something

I don't think I look like Mary Poppins, although I do have brown hair and a big grin too.

Thursday ey? Well best of luck. Mine's on Monday *gulp*. I really just want this over with.

I can't believe I'm gonna actually KNOW in a few weeks, I mean after all this time... whoo its exciting. Can't think about much else and spending far too much time on this forum.

Well done Mouse, mucho respect for you too.

Where abouts in Sarf London you from Gringle? I'm originally a Brixton girl myself.

I have taken GAMSAT twice now, passed both times but took it the second time for fun.. (only joking, I was worried the cut off would be higher and only scraped in last time).
I managed to work full time, look after my boy, study 2 nights a week and get the required amount of voluntary work in. I think that the science paper is awful, but it can be done, the first time I took it I hadn't studied science for (gulp) 20 years. I am a tortoise, not a hare, so worked from about August.
The interview, on the other hand, is not easy. That's what I failed last year.
This year I have mine on 2nd April, so I'm in the last batch for torture, but at least I have some idea of what I'm letting myself in for. I go into it a little more confident this time as I now hold two offers for non GEP places (King's and George's).

I think the key to it is to live in SE London btw, I'm in New Cross! Being well acquainted with baby sick also seems to help, the Parents forum is full of people going for GEP interviews.

    Good luck to everyone!

I had my Georges' interview this morning Frank's Mum, and agree - I would happily sit the GAMSAT again if I fail to get a place this year, but I don't relish going through that interview again

How'd it go Mouse? Do you feel alright about it?

I won't ask you what they asked you but, I was wondering about the style of the interview. Its not very interactive is it? So do they just let you keep talking till you run out and then move on to the next question?

    How did that feel?
