Griffith's Cs

Hi GAMSAT folks,

Just wondering what the general opinion is on Griffith's advice to guess Cs when you need to guess.
His reasoning stands up in the guide but I am worried that the exam writers will cotton on. His guide seems to be well used and has been for a few years...it is very likely the exam writers will have seen it or noticed that a lot of people guess Cs. In that situation would they not try to move the advantage away from this blind stragey pushing up marks? I cant work out what to do if I am in that situation (obviously I am hoping I wont have to guess but have to be realistic!)

What does everyone think?

His logic holds if it was done by people (not randomised by computer) and if said people were susceptible to the idea that C is the least obvious answer.

However, his actual take home message is to always guess the same one, regardless of if it's C or not.

this is true. Its just whether the % per letter holds. And whether those people are susceptible to the newer phenomenon (if it is) that C is the most chosen letter.

I used the 'c' theory and it seemed to work for me. I got my first choice of university.
