Hey all

I took GAMSAT in January 2007 (before they changed to a September test date), which was valid for 2007 and 2008 entry. I used it for 2008 entry, and had a place at Nottingham, but have had to withdraw recently. So, I thought I'd have to re-take GAMSAT this year for 2009 entry, as scores are normally only valid for 2 years.

BUT, the GAMSAT UK Office have informed me that they decided earlier this year that Jan 2007 scores are now valid for 2009 entry!! I think this is a unique situation due to there being an exam in Jan and Sept 2007, both of which are technically within 2 years, so are now valid for 2009 entry.
On the GAMSAT website

and
GAMSAT UK - Using Previous Results

it says Jan 2007 are NOT valid for 2009 entry, but the GAMSAT UK Office has just told me otherwise.

So, if anyone had a decent score from Jan 2007, then you can use that to apply this year! Of course make sure it's a decent score that you are confident will be above the cut-off scores...!!

Also, if you've got a decent Jan 2007 score, but thought it wasn't valid and have registered for the exam again this year, perhaps you can get a refund?

You can double-check all this by emailing GAMSAT UK Office at gamsatuk@acer.edu.au - they were very helpful with me!

Hope this is of use to some of you out there, good luck with all your applications for this year, and good luck to everyone who does have to take GAMSAT this year!!
