    Study material for GAMSAT?

I have to start preparing for the GAMSAT exam, but do not have a clue where to start looking for study material. It seems that there are a lot of websites/books arround that promise to get you through the exam. I also don't know what to expect from the exam. Has anyone got some pearls of wisdom they can share with me or put me on the right track to get hold of some quality books that won't waste my time/money. Are the books that UCAS recommend of any use?

Thanks very much. All help much appreciated.

    berendine,

I bought the griffiths gamsat review first before i had even decided to go for the gamsat exam. It was really useful and formed the basis of my studies. At £25 it was nothing compared to some courses. It recommended buying A level revision guides (Letts) to cover the science part (partIII) (amazon, ebay had good deals).
Griffiths has also come up with a sort of curriculum that i worked through with the letts books that really set me up for part III preparation.
Buy the sample questions and mock exam published by acer. You can get these from the ucas website or ebay. Don't even look at them until the final stages of your revision as they are the closest you'll get to the actual exam and there is not much of them.
I bought a full set of ozimed papers (ozimed.com or ebay). £70 and good for essay examples (i did about 30 practice essays) but the science part i found a little too easy compared to the exam. Still good practice.
I also bought a gradmed package second hand that was great for part I and II for about £80. It also had some good science examples. Organic chemistry for dummies was useful but probably contained more than i actually needed.
That's about it. Get the griffiths review and go from there.

berendine - I used the Acer booklets (I was doing A-level Chemistry at the same time, so like ciderfinder says, A-level revision guides are useful). If you're interested in the Acer stuff, PM me. I've still got all 3 of them. I bought them for around £55 but willing to part with them for quite a lot less.
South Bank University, PgDip Therapeutic Radiography 2007 - almost finished and have just been offered a job!!!
