hi catherine,
sitting it in dublin - first time, and terrified! I'm hoping it'll be the last.... I want to get in to limerick, as it's closest to me. I've done a good amount of prep, but it really is an impossible exam to study for. oh well - all the best on the 15th!

I am doing the exam in Dublin; it'll be my second time as I did it in London in September just to see how it all works (it scared the crap out of me!). I have done quite a bit of prep and am doing a course as well, but it is pretty hard going, especially as I am working a full time job too. Roll on 16th March!

great - I guess it's just interesting to know who else is in the same boat - I know I find it encouraging! I've done it twice and been able to improve my mark, so hoping that if I can get it shifted up a bit further this time it'll make all the difference! I'd go anywhere to uni - what do any of you thin are the odds of success? I think Limerick's cutoff last year was c 59 and RCSI was 60 - but that was based on applicant number and slots - do we think there will be a lot more applicants this year- is it sounding popular? I know no-one has definitive answers, I just like to think up and down and around some of this stuff!

All the best with study

Cork rhymes with fork, fork is associated with food. Food is good.

Dublin rhymes with...uhh...crumblin...that's not good.

I'd rather to go to cork.

It's hard to know, my feeling is that there will be a good deal more applicants this year than last - a lot more people seem to have heard of the GEP courses, and hence the GAMSAT. I know that there are more places this year, but if the number of applicants surge, it may balance things out.

I have applied for RCSI, UCD, UCC and UL in order of preference. At this stage I just want to get the thing over with! Bring on the agonising 8 week wait for results!
