From the gamsat uk website:

You will need to sit GAMSAT UK if you intend to apply for 2008 entry to one of the following 4-year graduate-entry medical/dental schools:

St George’s, University of London
The University of Nottingham at Derby
The University of Wales Swansea
Peninsula Dental School
Keele University

Or to the 5-year degree at
The Peninsula Medical School

I'm wondering that too. From their website they just say that "An applicant’s degree results, GAMSAT score and UCAS application are all taken into consideration and complied into a scoring system for interview selection." I have no idea what the weighting is between these three aspects, so in that regard GAMSAT remains quite meaningless in terms of my Swansea application.

However, I am reasonably sure that I'll get an interview at St. George's, my other GAMSAT choice. But in an endeavour to avoid the cycle of hubris and ate I'm not going to count my interview invites until they've arrived and been verified by 3 neutral observers.

As it turns out it doesn't appear that Swansea are now going to be using GAMSAT at all in selection for interview and will also now be accepting GAMSAT Ireland results (just got an e-mail).
