Red face GAMSAT results date?

Hi all,

Decided to start a thread in anticipation of the results. As you can see from my signature I've worked out that it could be sometime on the 8th of November that we get them. This isn't an exact date, but could be a week before or after the date mentioned.

Any thoughts about the upcoming results? Did some of you send your UCAS applications away? What are you predicting for each section?

I sent my application away on the 12th, and reckon that my worst section will be the first section as I found that to be the hardest. I'm hoping to get at least 50 or above in that section. The other two will hopefully be alot higher as I'm a science grad and practiced for the essay section more than I did for the first.

Hi Delgado,

I'm hoping I got good marks in the first two sections as I'm an Arts grad and found them fairly do-able - relative to the thrid section anyway, which I think I did pretty badly in. I'm from Ireland and applying to GEP in RCSI and UL, so my CAO application doesn't need to be in until Feb 2008. And I can repeat the GAMSAT in March here if I need to! Last year the points were 61 for both, but I think there is a lot more interest in the GEP courses this year, so they will probably go up! I'm hoping to get 67 or higher- I would be confident that I wouldn't have to repeat if I got that.

Your fortunate in that you would findout your results before the application deadline!! I've heard that the cut-off will go down this year due to low attendance and new test date arrangement, but then that's not for certain and it's likely different for the UK and Ireland. Last year, the scores were 61 for SGUL and Notts whereas PMS had 62. I think that a score of 65 or above is a good enough score to avoid taking the exam again, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed that I just make the cut-off.

On the gamsat website, it says we can expect to get results 7 weeks after the test date but on st george's medicine information page, it says we'll get results in december!!! I can't wait that long...

Perhaps St. George's mean that they will be issuing their 'results' (i.e. interview invites and rejections - since invitation to interview is entirely dependent on GAMSAT scores) in December (I suppose it must take a while to process everything once the results are out)?

Dear all,

I just wanted to mention that the GAMSATUK website has requested that those who are applying for 2008 entry need to email their UCAS number to them.
