Thumbs up GAMSAT Sep 2007

Good luck to everyone taking the GAMSAT tomorrow. Comments tomorrow evening!
BTH what's with the "no food including sweets, lollies and chocolates will be permitted in the test centre?"

Yep, it's annoying. I'm debating whether to smuggle in a few sweets for the final 3 hour science marathon.

When it says bottled water is ok, do you think it's ok to bring in energy drinks? It might have to be the replacement.

Good luck everyone!

there was no problem last time round, the only thing was candidates were asked to unwrap any sweets/chocolates before the start of the test. also, nobody minded the energy drinks on the desks. hope this helps.

Do we have to be there at 8am on the dot - cos it says we're not seated until 9.15am. I know we'll have to get our tickets and ID checked but that shouldn't take too long...

believe me it takes ages, especially at lawrence hall. the line stretches out for about 100 metres!

make sure you bring several layers of clothes - it was FREEZING in the hall in january (people were wearing gloves, scarves, coats), but for all we know it might be boiling tomorrow.

also the queues for the toilets are horrendous - be prepared!

hope everyone's revision is going ok!

Gloves and scarves?! Bloody hell - I'd been warned it was cold but that sounds insane - I'd better dig out my other thermal vest!
