Wow, 56 with no prior prep? thats pretty good! i feel i'll be lucky to get that with prep! My main problem with this is how the questions are kinda designed to trick you. i keep gettin answers i think i know are right, and it turns out its completely wrong

Talking

yeah i can see why its used esp for the 4yr grad entry but i dnt get the physics!you can go a whole life in medicine without the general physics we need to know, just abit anoying but its on 20% so not gonna loose to much sleep. also was at the nottingham graduate medicine open day and their admissions officer said she expects to lower the threshold for this intake as apparently there are less people taking it in sept 2007 due to the closeness to the jan 2007 exam.... anything that helps is good!lol...GOOD LUCK EVERYONE!!!! and anyone taking it in sheffild...ill b the one on the floor rocking from side to side before, during and after the exams!!LOL

Id also heard that much fewer people are taking it this year cause of the date change- thats why they had to extend the deadline a couple of times. Fingers crossed!
I just want to get it over with now though im getting so fed up and think im gonna have burnt out by Friday and to help matters im workin night this week. Im also joining the 'I cant do physics club' its stressing me out even more trying to understand it when i just cant so ive given up- i prob wont have time to do them anyway. Ive only managed to write a couple of essays and im really worried that it'll be a random topic that i cant think of anything for and dont mention section 1- Ive been doin GRADMED examples and i only just get 50% correct- not good!

You and me both joanne! I've givin up on the physics. i just hope i can get better by 20% in the next few days, or hope that tonnes of people fail

At least i can see theres another person doin it in sheffield!

Oh, and is it me, or does it seem impossible to answer all the questions within the time limit?

Has anyone else slowed down on their revision? I've done hardly any over the last few days....... just can't seem to concentrate and when I do I don't learn anything.

I've been doing it for months now and it's not even like I've run out of steam, just seems that when I try I've not learned anything. As if I've filled my brain up with all the abstract chem nonsense I can do

I'm not even nervous about it, just feel apathetic. At least it'll be nice to take it in a room i've had exams in before

I so hope there are very few others in the room with me, that'll make me feel a bit better

However you'd managed to get 56 with no prep I'll never know very well done to you. If I get that i'll be overjoyed (even if it's not enough to get an interview).

Nik

i got 55 with no prep last year as well, i do have a science background but it was 5 years ago! im hopeing the revision i have done this year will get me an interview but im not hopeful, it just depends on the questions, it also depends on the essay choices if its a topic i feel strongly about im fine if not, i will fail!

The perfect GAMSAT exam:

section one: Lots of Gary Larson comics and simple texts to interpret

Section two: Write essays on: Communism and religion

Section three: 90% biology, 10% organic chem

That'd be nice.....probably all gonna be physics and physical chem now.

You're doing 2 days??!?!?!?!?!?

I've been at it for the last 4 months and I'm on a biosciences degree too.

I hope you're right and I've just misinterprited how difficult it is.
