yeah, that's right. I got 60 overall score but couldn't be interviewed cos messed up the essays

I do think that it's still encouraging for those people who are determined to get through it though. You don't have to be the very best scientist or essayist etc, you just have to a good all rounder. If you do mess up one section then you can always resit.

I thought it also took into account the top mark for the test then everyone was graded against the curve to see where they lay so that they can determine the entry score for the Uni?

Or am I just totally in my own la la land?

Not sure about all this. I reckon it's just a straightforward percentage but the reason that they say it's not is because of the test questions.

Furthermore, if scores are referenced to other peoples', it suggests that every year, and in every paper, the person with the top score, no matter what it is in percentage terms, will be given 100 out of 100. I know that people have scored 100 for the science section but I've never heard of anyone get more than about 90 on sections 1 or 2.

It could be that they simply score sections 1 & 2 out of 90 rather than 100 but I don't think it says this in the GAMSAT literature.

Anyway, no idea really but just my tuppence worth.
