retaking GAMSAT

how many times are people willing to retake GAMSAT IF they've failed??

I was speaking to somebody in Birmingham about retaking...they said once is enough. I would take it as many times as possible until i get in or lose hope!!

hi to everyone at birmingham

Guess it depends on what sort of score you get. Last year i got 63 section 1 63 section 3 and 49 section 2 ops: but knew as soon as was over that i'd messed it up. My overall score was 60 and sghms were interviewing people with a score of 58+ but you have to get over 55 in section 2 to be considered.

Was pretty gutted but thought was worth trying again.

I know we all have different stregths and weaknesses but if a ot of people struggle to attain a high mark on section 2 are the final scores not moderated to reflect this?

simran, might as well wait and see what happens. You migth have done better than you think.

Even if you do mess up section 2 then at least you can focus your preperation for next year. That's what i thought. Having said that tho, i still didn't prepare enough for section 2 this year . Even tho i hate this section ops:

Just read parkers post. Thinks that's right. As far as i know the score is worked out relative to everyone elses. Think a lot of people struggle on this section. An essay doesn't have to be great, just in the top 50% of the essays. If most essays aren't that great then your doesn't have to be great either :?

Yay! Sounds good but then sadly it is probably just as easy to be in the bottom not great half of the not great essays! Harsh as it is, you kind of need to work out if it is possible that half of the people in there wrote essays not as great as your not great essay - am I rambling?
