Did anyone finish the section 3 (science part)of the Gamsat?

Do they not realise the expense (and trauma) which accompanies the GAMSAT?

Hiya - i got rejected from Swansea on Jan 7 th, I posted about it somewhere - complete rant!! I did call them to ask why I had been rejected before i had even sat the GAMSAT and they just said due to time pressures they have to start making some decisions before the exam results come out, well other schools manage it just fine! i did have a bit of a moan to them, saying that GAMSAT is a huge financial and time drain and that they're system was especially unfair to anyone entering into GAMSAT purely as a means to gain an interview at Swansea. Fluffy suggested I write them a letter since my comments on the telephone were pretty much disregarded, I am planning to do so as soon as I have written my dissertation (2 days, 5000 words to go! :shock: )

I think it definately should have been clearer, pre-application that this could happen.

re- Swansea's pre-GAMSAT rejections, I have just spoken to them (again!) to try and express, once again (!) my displeasure. they said that they had had lots of comments about this and now realise that they should have made the situation clearer in their literature. sadly this doesn't help us much! I have asked who i should write to with regards to this matter and it is: Dr Adrain Evans, Admissions Tutor. Although I realise this isn't going to change things for this year, it may help someone out next year to use one of their precious 4 places for somewhere who will definately interview them should they get through the hell of GAMSAT. Also will make me feel better!

It has, however had one positive effect, I am way less keen to look at UCAS.COM all the time now as that big old UNSUCCESSFUL keeps winking at me from the Swansea line and making me sad. I think it is only a matter of days before I get another one to keep it company from Bristol. :cry:

He's talking about the press -up question, you know the onw where they do pressup's, then half press up's.

It was a physics question, it's probably one of the one's you guessed.

That is totally shocking! Did anyone only sit the GAMSAT for Swansea?? If you did - and the information in their brochure is misleading I really think you should be able to claim your money back from them - threaten them with a letter from your solicitor!

I don't remember that press up question at all. I'm hoping this is a consequence of post-traumatic stress! So it was at the end was it? How could I forget that question entirely? Any further info on the question to jog my memory please? I'm worried I might have missed it too now
