Was anyone in Bristol or Nottingham that could tell us the numbers there so we can have a total?

Does anyone know how many were last year?

I might be wrong but I have a feeling the numbers have gone down.

These were the figures they gave me from UCAS last year (I still had them saved on my computer)
    2003 - 1393
    2004 - 1476
    2005 - 1512

    Good luck

    HUmm,

Ian Fenney said that this year there were 1600 registered in the UK, which was about 50 down on last year.

Then then he said (but I can't remember the exact numbers) that there were about 100-200 nationwide who didn't turn up.

It seems I'm going against the grain by my experience, but I found it absolutely awful and in fact, worse than last year.

I think my only saving grace was SIII. The other sections were rubbish and my time management was the pits. Not looking forward to March.

That beig said, I'm very pleased that the general feeling on the board is that people thought they did well. I hope that you guys are satisfied come March. Best of luck!!!

At Nottingham there were about 150 people I think, maybe a bit more.

I have to agree with Becky about almost falling asleep in section 3. I predicted a large exhibition hall to be bloddy freezing and i too was thermalled up and actually felt a bit warm! I have to say that everything that came up in sec 3 was stuff i had gone over, but still found myslef guessing more than i would have liked. By the time the exam was over i could hardle see straight from concentrating, and had a killer headache. The entire experience was not as bad as people make out, and it hasn't put me off thankfully!

Is anyone else predicting a re sit next year... i know i will be there, Yeah bring it on GAMSAT!!!!!

You can only really speak for yourself so its a little unfair to say it wasnt as bad as people make out, because the experience you have just described doesnt sound rosey to me...

Perhaps I should re-word that then as i didnt intend for that to come across in that way

From the information and experiences friends had described, I was expecting it to be a far scarier experience in terms of the feeling of the exam never ending and wanting to get up half way through and leave; the tense atmosphere of the exam hall, feeling sickeningly nervous and wondering why the hell i had decided to sit this exam.
I only applied to take it at the last minute and consequently expected not to be able to answer any of the questions at all, and to completely run out of time and still have most to answer. In fact I somehow managed to answer them all, but had to guess quite a few. To me that experience is better than I had expected it was going to be, not a good experience but better than I'd expected. Of course I can only speak for myself, and I should have said "had made (out)" appliying the terms to me rather than "make (out)" making it sound as though my comments apply to everyone. This was not my intention.

No, the experience doesnt sound rosy, but it was better (for me personally) than i had expected it would be because i finished the questions without running out of time, everyone was very helpful, organised and friendly and I have not been scared off as I was expecting to be, thank goodness because I will be there next year.

    Chuckle chuckle.

Sounds a little bit like the section 2 quotes....

You have to know how bad something REALLY could before before you can judge how bad or good thigs are in comparison.

Obviously not a real quote peoples! But thoses who were there will get my gist!
