GAMSAT Prep courses

Hi there,

I'll be sitting the GAMSAT in Jan 06 and i've been looking at preparation courses etc... I have heard about 4 different ones that are all too expensive.

So far I have GRADMED, Des O'Neill, Dr Prep and Gamsat Guru. Are there any more??

Does anyone know the cost of these courses and how good any of this really is?

As yet, i understand that the Des O'Niell and GRADMED notes are very very good and also more expensive (but not sure how much exactly!). Am I right in saying that these have to be sent from Australia... So will it take a long time to get to my doorstep???

I have a maths background and so I'm worried about part 3 of the test! any helpful tips?? I'd appriciate any advice.

thanks
Jen

There is Medired and Medprep as well (both based in australia). But you can get the Medired guide sent to u. Medprep have a free half test on their site so check that out too.

I have a Comp Sci background so know how u feel...we don't have any advantage in either Science or Arts!

I have the Des O Neill Notes (bought 2nd hand) and they are good. Very comprehensive. The science section is HUGE. But get a text book as well to help solidify concepts in your head. It is usually sent from Australia if you buy it new.

The Gradmed course is run in London and is v expensive £2000 for full and £800 for intensive approximatey. Im trying to get a price list of each thing individually as I dont think I wil attend the science ones. I have heard good things about this course, so hopefully its worth the money.

DrPrep is also run in London (i think), and I havent heard anything bad about it, but I havent heard amazing things either. But it is considerably cheaper than the Gradmed course.

Hope that helps
