I have been looking at the web for free info on GAMSAT and can't seem to find any. At most, I have found a half paper with no answers....
How come there is no website's out there? I mean for other grad type exams (GMAT etc...), there is so much info that you don't need to pay for a "copy of the exam"....
Has anyone found any free resources out there??? (I am currently trying to pay-off my student debt from previous degree, and believe me its hard!)
The short answer is no. You have to pay for any papers unless people who have already done GAMSAT and are happy with their score are willing to give theirs away for free (not likely as most of us are in debt!).
There is a free GAMSAT-like test on http://www.medprep.com.au/asp/online_gamsat.asp -- but you really do need to get the sample papers and do them under exam conditions for the most benefit.
I have got plenty of resources to sell.I have spent approx £1500 on gamsat preparation materials!!. I thought that i might recoup a teeny weeny fraction of that as i will be needing it to spend on medical books soon.
I have got Gradmed course notes for all 3 sections of gamsat:humanities, esays and sciences. In addition i purchased` separatelyfor £100 science and humanities question booklets from gradmed.
This course was an intensive revision course which was £900
I also have des o neills science notes ,two sets of essay writing course-30 essays with markers appraisals and comments suggestions on how to improve, test preparation course with lots of practice questions.and answers and strategies.. If u by all of des oneills stuff first hand it will cost u £400.
i have also got all 3 acer bookletswhich cost £37
i have also got proposed essay questions.
All of the resources are extremely usefull especially the des o neill ones.

This is all completely new to me: I would really appreciate it if NE1 out
there could offer wise words of experience etc. about taking the
GAMSATs and also how I can obtain past papers/notes etc (2nd-hand is
fine). Have just finished a BSc although didn't do as well as I
wanted, but am still hopeful & want to at least try this whole GAMSAT
thing. Any advice will be much appreciated, thank u.
Has anyone else noticed that there are a couple of mistakes on the medprep.com.au free gamsat test? Question 14-18 my partner thinks the bottom part of the second equation should be c x t not c - t? There was something strange about Q32 as well - can't quite remember what. Maths is not my forte so this has confused the hell out of me.
How does the difficulty of the simulated, half length, GAMSAT on the medprep compare with the real thing? I'm considering sitting GAMSAT in January and so sat the Med Prep exam under timed conditions to give me an idea of how I'd get on.
I got 33 out of 38 in Section I and 40 out of 55 in Section III. Seemed encouraging however I don't want to be lulled into a false sense of confidence.
Yes I am hoping that too but it seems unlikely, although you're right possibly a lot of the people who land offers will end up declining.
I need to know soon as I will be arranging new plans for...
Argh! I was hoping it would be sooner as I don't really want my Barts interview and I know they have a waiting list, so would rather give it to someone else if I got a place at Soton. Seems like a...
No I agree, in mine it was the female interviewer who really seemed to look down on my experience and tried to show it in a negative light. I guess you're right it may have been to stress us but it...
