Okay - I have some stuff to mark but final response:-
1. You are traceable by at least 4 methodologies that I know. The first and easiest is by nathanisnow@hotmail.co.uk. The other two I don't want to advertise here.
2. Medical school is oversubscribed many times over. There is no evidence base that I am aware of to suggest that having more stringent psychodynamic/psychological criteria would reduce the efficacy of treatments. Such research as I am aware of points in the other direction.
3. I read the quote and found it offensive and judgemental. Instead of making remarks like this why don't you look up Argyll Robertson pupils on Google - maybe you will be able to remove splinters from ophthalmic patients later.
4. For me, integrity includes addressing issues not personalities and being congruent.
I invite you to review your postings to see which you would prefer admissions tutors not to pursue with you.
Final thought: admissions processes should be based around the needs of the patients not the students, yes or no ?

xXxHxXx:
Psychological approaches have been used in hospitals for decades now and have to meet evidence based requirements like everyone else. You have to learn some humility. Not knowing does not equal doesn't exist. (See complex equivalent in google)

Well, no, because it doesn't matter who you are or what your job is - the things you write are frankly verbose, over-complicated quasi-psychological constructions of nonsense, and you only respond to other people on here with supercilious scorn so I'd still have not very much respect for you.
Oh! Heavens! Will nobody protect the poor children!
The emotional appeal of tabloid editors everywhere.
Usually when they have nothing useful to say.
That could be construed as a bit of a threat (especially given how you've responded to giella) so watch out that you don't get a bit of moderator attention . . .
As for me, it doesn't worry me my friend, I'm already in.
I'll do my best to protect the children, just for your sake you understand.4th year Medic

People be civil please. Or if its really annoying you just ignore it.
ANYTHING WRITTEN BY ME ON THIS SITE DOES NOT REPRESENT THE VIEWS OF SOUTHAMPTON UNIVERSITY!
Finally a final year medical student!

I'll add a final thought. Admissions processes are based around the needs of the university. CRB checks are in place to protect patients. Common sense keeps the psychopaths out. Misfortune allows people like Harold Shipman to become doctors, and review boards are set up to figure out what went wrong in the case of Bapy P. University admissions can do very little to prevent either of those tragedies.
Enough said. I'm surprised it went on this long.

Northern Light:
The moderator will also know of ways of tracing these posts if they are qualified. It is not a threat but an example of how the evidence that contradicts our belief is currently available even if those arguing otherwise are not aware of it. Fortunately, I also took copies of all the postings in case of future manipulative query like this.
I am not so much concerned about moderators because I am not writing through fear and would have no problem with respecting them/their decision should you or anyone else choose to construe things this way.
However, since they have chosen not to address the deplorable earlier comments that in some of the murder cases Shipman was 'easing pain' I suspect that they may feel a twinge of something should they respect the feelings of Giella and not those of Shipman's victims families.
It is not only tabloid editors who wish to protect children. There are times when even hardened consultants may weep and if Baby P. isn't one of them, what is ?
