I'll let you know when I have had at least one person answer the questions in my previous posts. For some of us, it is not 'winning the argument' that matters but protection of children. It is very disappointing that for some it is just an opportunity to try and get 'one up' on what are perceived to be their peers.
Looking around this site, there really seems to be very little evidence of anything other than self-interest.

How did you come to that conclusion ? Hardly evidence based is it ?
Are you just trying to provoke people ?

I'm not going to comment on the subject but I am curious as to why someone would make their first post and topic so inflammatory as it is clear it, or you, have got up the back of some folk.
You speak as though you are a practising doctor, speak strongly of your view and opinion but are reluctant to tell us what it is you do...I think if you have a view you should find somewhere more appropriate to voice it or at least be prepared to accept that some situations are out of the control of others, such as admissions.
But you know what, I have a solution. We can DNA test for who would make the best doctors.-Usus libri, non lectio prudentes facit

The time when people stop actually reading and replying to the thread is clearly the point at which it seems sensible to stop posting.
If you want to know about inflammation look up Carol Black's speciality. If I was speaking in an inflammatory way I would speak more like the doctors given in this reference :
Dr Rant: Carol Black's Who Wants to Be a Millionaire (not anyone calling me a shit, obviously) I do not belong to that group.
What I actually did was pose some questions which not one person has been able to answer directly. Self-interest here expresses itself evidenced by the personalisation of issues rather than addressing them neutrally. Did you actually read the post ? Anyway, my work here is done.

You are speaking like a completely pompous, arrogant idiot. You are so patronising! i've just read the topic, and to be honest if u read it again with an open mind like u keep telling people to do u'd realise that u are a complete donkey! seriously like what is the point of this? u are talking about 2 cases, 2 doctors just TWO! two out of thousands! and u think this is enough evidence to completely over throw the whole medical admissions process. Have u ever even applied to med school? Im right in the middle of it and to be honest half of it is complete rubbish. and u want to add to that because u think it might of stopped these two ppl becoming doctors. There's already a personality test in the UKCAT and guess what... like ppl here have said it's completely unverified, doesnt give any indication of what u are like and universities ignore it. Do u really think they would have put this in just for the fun of it? it's obviously there because they think it might work, that not enough for u? How do u know the paeditrician who attended baby P hasnt already made great discoveries of diseases/beatings children are getting already and just missed one? Why does no one ever blame the parents? it's always the doctor/social workers fault, the parents were the ones beating the child. Give the doctor a break.
The way u have treated posters here says alot about YOUR personality, you show no respect, have a god complex, think ur the best person on NMM, use big words to try and substantiate ur "facts" and "evidence" because u know that theyr rubbish. Im sorry but ur just being a troll here.
Sorry to everyone else for the rant but it was annoying me.Last edited by jonbonbon; 18-11-2008 at 11:06 PM.
