Scottish ambulance assessment day

hi I'm a student nursing and I have been looking into applying to become a trainee ambulance technician now that the ambulance service are now recruiting again. I was just wondering if anyone knew what the assessment day involved. I know it involves a fitness and driving test. is there any academic tests? and what do these involve? and are you quizzed on the highway code as part of the driving assessment?

Hey I just received an email today inviting me for assessment day on the 31st aug! But I was reading through the info and it states a minimum of 3 points on your licence and I have 6

when did you upload/send in your application?
sent mine on the 3rd of july, website says by the end of august but just want to know either way really.

was wheres the assessment? edinburgh? glasgow?

not sure about the whole 6 points on license, need to discuss with them direct i feel

I applied in July too so hopefully you here soon!
The assessment day is in Motherwell.
I emailed about my 6 points but they stated you can only commence
Employment if you have 3�� so ill just need to apply again next June am devestated!

Sorry to hear that m8 there will be other opportunities I should know I have been waiting to get in from 2008. I've been short listed too next Tue in Edinburgh, it's my second assessment day, passed first one the failed interview ? If u want enough you will do it m8, anyone else going to Edinburgh on Tue ????

I have just heard back that i have been selected for the assessment day, could someone please provide me with some feed back as in what to expect and is there anything i can do to study/train/exercice for the assessment day??

Hi m8 what info do you need ? Where & when is your assessment ? You should have all information within your email required for the day but if you require a bit of detail give me a shout will try & help if I can ???

I have my assessment day on the 30th in Edinburgh. Is there a written and maths test? On the forms sent out it states there is only fitness, listening and recall test and a dexirty test. What is the dexirty test like?
