it's wierd how you are classified as overseas, I'm sure they will change it. Have you contacted them about it??

My BMAT section 3 is awful... At least Oxford only give it 20% of the score

Another potential 2010'er for Edinburgh. I'm classed as a "mature" applicant (cheeky, I'm only 22!), so was asked to send a CV and financial guarantee letter directly to the University as well as my UCAS form. They've already sent my Elucid password, but no word on the rest of the application. Postal strikes haven't started yet, and I know I shouldn't be paranoid but I've heard that they don't get the additional information/it doesn't arrive on time, it's an automatic rejection

Ur bristol application was acknowledged?!?!? does that just mean u got an email that they received the application like the one edinburgh sent out, because i applied at bristol as well and i havent gotten anything from them.

Does it really take until march to get offers from edinburgh?!? they dont do any interviews, wouldnt that mean they are alot faster?!?

Yes I got an email from Bristol
and the Edinburgh process might take as long as it does because there is very little difference between all the applicants... Anyone else got any ideas?

I wonder what this big deal about "acknowledgement" is. Is it a new thing in the 2009-2010 application cycle? Or does it just mean you got a letter/email saying that the university has received your application? Because, to be honest... I really didn't see those letters as "news" way back when I applied

Haha, I see. It's just that I don't recall there being so many mentions of acknowledgements on NMM forums in previous years, just interviews and offers.

Either my memory doesn't serve me right, or I logged onto NMM too early before the UCAS deadline/too late during interview season, after all the excitement over acknowledgement had had turned into fearful anticipation/bitter disappointment/relief and elation.
