    i meant before my results...

so i could be rejected anytime soon, (v unlikely) offered soon, or left in limbo until march
if they are handing out offers in november they have obviously looked through the applications - so why wait until march to decide for everyone else??

basically, they read through all 2000, say, briefly and the 25/30/however many that they say "shit, we have to have this one" get offers, the ones that clearly dont have the minimum requirements get rejections. then everyone else, say 1700, goes into the big long main decision process, and they gradually whittle down, sending out rejections all the while, until they're left with the final 300.

personally i think it's a stupid system, and i've no idea why they dont interview...its so frustrating to think that that UCAS form is the one and only chance you get to prove yourself.

    rant over lol...

well, i suppose it is one less thing for me to mess up
i think i might actually come across better on paper than in person...
i am however a bit of a paranoid control freak ( yes, i admit it), so i will be nervous until i get a decision
bensilber2000, are you applying this year?

It just means that Edinburgh has noted your application and sent you an e-mail, that's all :P

Im another Edinburgh applicant and I have to say the thought of waiting until March to hear anything is petrifying!! I agree that they should interview but hey, it's their decision not to...

And the other thing really frightening me (apart from not understanding the accent) is how amazing all of your qualifications are - I'm thinking a rejection may appear on track for me :'(

Anyway, good luck to all of you even though I'm sure you dont need it!!
