Any Vegetarians?
Hiya
Just wondered if there were any vegetarians at Edinburgh who could give me some advice. I love Pollock Halls, but I've just been reading about it and it says:
There is always a vegetarian option on the menu every day, but vegetarians, vegans or students with specific dietary requirements may find self-catering accommodation more appropriate to their needs.
This doesn't exactly fill me with confidence!Edinburgh - AAB

I don't know specifically about Edinburgh but as a veggie I've lived in a few shared places before and always ended up spending money on takeaways and shop food... you get fed up with cheese salad, cheese omelettes, cheese pizzas and cheese pasta (unless you love cheese, obviously)

I've heard on TSR that food at pollock is not good for veggies and thus applied to self-catered (i'm a pretty picky veggie). I suppose that's just 1 person's opinion though. I wouldn't expect much there as it's in the prospectus though.

Yeah I'm pretty picky too, so looks like it's self catered for me!

Cashewnut, you and me and all the other veggies will have to get together for vegetarian nights together and swop recipies. it will be fun!
(has anyone else noticed that there are a disproportionately large no of vegetarians going to edinburgh this year?)Edinburgh First/Second Year
