To those without offers yet.
I found this on their website at http://www.ed.ac.uk/newstudents/app_mvm.html
Medicine Offers
A number of offers may be made to those with very high selection scores before late March. Those with below minimum academic requirements and those with low selection scores will also be informed they have been unsuccessful before that time. All other applications are scored and ‘held’ until every application has been reviewed and scored. Final offer decisions are then made by the end of March.
So i guess that means those still waiting are in with a good chance, as theres still a large bout of offers to be made. Well done to all those with offers already, you must have had a sh*t hot ucas application. So i guess we will finally hear within the next few days from them. Reading that on the site has made me feel a lot better, considering those remaining must have descent scores and thus a good chance of getting an offer.Science, in the very act of solving problems, creates more of them.

um..really sorry! lol
in my year out (if i get the As of course) i plan to study acupuncture and chinese in china, and then come back and try earn some money. i live in scotland and so do highers (AAAAAB) and i'm doing 4 subs for advanced higher. lol. not that impressive if u think about it compared to a lot of other people. though (sorry if i sounding arrogant!) my state school only timetables u for 5 highers so i had to go to a college at the other side of the city to do the sixth one so i guess maybe the unis were keen on that? i think one of the reasons i got into cam (appart from lots of luck) was my bmat score which was relatively high (7.6, 6.3, 12) as i was the sad swot who actually took it really seriously and studied loads for it - not that it really helped that much except to boost confidence!
now i've talked about myself for a whole paragraph, how is all the world with u?Cambridge (Clare) - starting in October 2006

hey! i don't think its formal training as in 'u can open a clinic and practice it type' but it going to be in a real 'academy' type thing in China which has a class especially for International Students. I don't know how much it is (lol! probably should) but most Chinese things appear quite cheap in comparison. i'm going at the start of term (Sept) unitl probably Apirl-June so that's 7-9 months. i know what u mean, acupuncture seems so surreal that its completely fascinating!
oh, i'd like to point out that i was born in China (though been here since i was 5) so i do know some very very basic Mandarin to make the aquisition easier.Cambridge (Clare) - starting in October 2006
