Durham book sale!
I'm a third year now (ex Durham) and over the last few years have built up quite a collection of books, most of which are redundant now because the books you use in the first 2 years are very different from the ones you use in your clinical years. Most of these books are ones that were recommended to us when I first started and were useful in the first 2 years.
The books have been well looked after, a couple have the odd paragraph highlighted on a few pages but generally pristine. More information can be given about any book upon request. So the books I have for sale are:
1) Human Physiology, Third edition. Gillian Pocock
Human Physiology: The basis of medicine Oxford Core Texts: Amazon.co.uk: Gillian Pocock, Christopher D Richards: Books
2) Wheater's Functional Histology
3) The Anatomy Coloring Book (unused)
The Anatomy Coloring Book: Amazon.co.uk: Wynn Kapit, Lawrence M. Elson: Books
4) Oxford Concise Medical Dictionary
5) Clinically Oriented Anatomy
6) Human Anatomy and Physiology
Human Anatomy and Physiology: Amazon.co.uk: Elaine N. Marieb, Katja N. Hoehn: Books
7)Human Heredity Principles and Issues
8) Essential Clinical Anatomy including CD
9) Kumar and Clark (aka the bible of medicine, a must have)
10) A labcoat purchases from Durham Medical School, size small, washed and clean in virtually new condition. £5
11) A Brief Atlas of the Human Body
A Brief Atlas of the Human Body: Amazon.co.uk: Matt Hutchinson, Jon B. Mallatt, Elaine N. Marieb, Patricia Brady Wilhelm: Books
Or £90 for the lot. The is may seem expensive, but I assure you, medical textsbooks are not as pleasingly priced as A-Level books, I've spent at least £250 on these altogether when I first purchased them, so grab yourself a bargain.
If you are interested or have any other questions, please email
P.S. I can answer any questions you may have about the medical school so feel free to email regarding that.
