Question Stevenson or John Snow???

Hi,

I got an interview at Durham in a couple of weeks and one of the letters ask if you would prefer Stevenson or John Snow.

I've been to Stevenson and thought it was great but never the John Snow, so is there much difference???

I was wondering which is better, cheaper, ect.

Any help would be appreciated.

xx

John Snow all the way!!!! Loads of my friends are in 'Snow' and some are in Stevenson. They all say Snow is better...its alot more formal, the halls are better and snow take the uni experience alot more seriously!

I am certain however that any Stevos out there will disagree.....

The Stephenson halls are newer and you can roll out of bed and be in lectures within half a minute so if that's your thing, they might be a good choice.

However... I was a Snowman and thought it was brilliant! The campus at UDQC is small enough that it doesn't make a whole lot of difference which college you're at - you'll be friends with everyone!

Thanx everyone,

well the steveo college was nice the room s big with ensuite, seemed quite busy... chocolate tasting club... not a very big student area room thing. I think it had its own bar but i cant remember there were visitors in at the time? Their colour was red and sumthin?? If im wrong sorry! Snow as i say i have no idea but although i look gud in red its probs not the best reason to choose...

But really the rooms i cant see there being much difference...

hopefully I havent just started a war between the colleges... its probabaly been going on for a while... wars can be fun

How is snow more formal craig, and how is this better exactly??

My housemates both go to Durham Uni...one is in Snow, the other is in Stevo. It appears to me, along with asking their opinions that Snow is the 'best'. Snow medics (along with other degree students in Snow) place alot of dedication into making sure that Snow students get the most out of uni life. Snow students all meet in their gowns when attending formal meetings, whereas generally Stevo students dont. Aside from that, i understand that Snow are in the league of rowing!!!!

MY OPINION IS ARGUABLY BIASED HOWEVER DUE TO THE INFLUENCE OF MY HOUSEMATES!!!

i hope i dont cause one of those really long argumentative threads!!!
