Ucas Track?

Right I just got an email on my track saying the status of my application has changed...so I logged into track and saw that my application for Durham and Newcastle symbolised by the letter (E) has now changed to (D) suggesting its now only an application to Durham...anyone have any idea why? I haven't had any replies interviews, or rejections from Newcastle or Durham so im a little confused...have i been rejected by Newcastle? anyone advice would be much appreciated!!!

Well I don't really know too much about newcastle so I'm probably wrong. But, i think it's because Newcastle and Durham are joint and if you don't specify which one you want to apply too, they choose for you. It seems as if they have chosen Durham for you.

ya 2009? is ryt... on your choices on the ucas form, when u chose Newcastle and it asked for where you wanna do your first year, what did you choose? if you chose either, or no preference, the campus code should then have been E which means you leave it up to them to choose. and im guessing they've now chosen Durham for you = D ..so relax you havent been rejected yet...

personally, if i got an email from ucas tellin me that my status on track has changed id be scared coz it could only be a rejection since interviews dont show up on track, and there's no way it could be an offer this early since ive had no interviews.

i'm in the exact same boat, I got that email and was freaking out as to what had changed! lol, it took me ages to figure out that on the whole tracking system, a simple letter substitution was the only difference, they could have been more specific in the email!!

but yea all it means is that newcastle has picked for you, you can't be considered for both - that would be unfair! I'm happy cuz at least i know they have looked at my application lol!
