I'm in the same position as Luci. I was rejected from newcastle after interview and subsequently rejected from all of my other universities. So after beginning to plan my Gap Year I recieved a phone call on Wednesday asking me if I wanted an offer. I said yes and have now accepted it as my firm choice.

I went to the open day on the 13th may i think nd the medics last year didn't miss freshers... unlike newcastle people
I vaguely remember something about the uni week starting on a wed rather than the normal mon. Correct me if i'm wrong!!

1st week is a joke... its basically this is a cell, a cell has such and such in it (whats a cell again?? j/k) - so no need to worry about lectures

You will enjoy freshers week to the max like any other student.... and especially the 7 am or so wake up for matriculation during the week (the person banging your door down is the senior resident )

Hmmm I wonder if I get to matriculate again!!
