Second Year Base Units

Hope all you soon to be second years have been thinking about your base units. I have just had another look at our lecture and think I am going to pick Wear in Third year and Tees in Fifth. I am assuming Wear will be more travelling for me so hope to get it out of the way asap.

What is anyone else thinking of doing? x

Yeah for me its purely down to the travelling, I could still end up travelling quite far even with those base units, just depends what hospitals they put me into.

I was speaking to someone that works in Occy Health at Northallerton Hospital and she was saying the have James Cook students go there (to Northallerton), that would be brilliant for me. Its a shame we can only pick base units and not hospitals!lol! I wondered if anyone got placed at Northallerton as the two Hospitals are linked but in out lecture there was no mention of it.

Thanks for the reassurance with the base units Paulmc.

Silver- are you going to move home in 3rd year then? The time is coming when you are going to have to pick which one you want first Tees/Wear.

Im dreading 4th year, still a bit cluelss about it at the mo really. x

Back when I was a Tees Base Unit student (some years ago now!), a few us were sent to The Friarage to do O&G and Paeds in final year. Not too sure whether that arrangement's still in place mind...

Thanks M.Clayton. I will have to ask if it still is in place. I dont see why it wouldn't as the two hospitals are still linked. x
