Fresher's Week!!!

Hiya!
Does anyone know what will be going on in freshers week? Hailz... did u say u might be a freshers rep? I'm soooo excited... eek! ...Just hope I get in!
I saw a bouncy castle on a pic in some leaflet, maybe we'll get one! I love them!!!

Will we have any lectures in the first week... I've read horror stories about other unis making medics start lectures straight away!

I think registration was on wednesday..

Now onto the fun stuff - at GS there were like 3 events a night - usually 1 in kabins (free), 1 out clubbing and 1 mix (eg cinema, going for a meal). I dunno when the bouncy castle was from but we didnt have one!

It is a great week..short explanation- need to get back to revision

I'm gonna be in Stephenson College. 3 events a night... sounds good!

hey paul we have lectures freshers week? nooooooooooooooooo. This will be my fifth freshers week at durham uni. Yeah i really really wanna be a freshers rep - am in js college though - have loads of bar crawl guiding and drinking experience which could prove interesting. Yuck revision my more least favourite topic - 5 days and four exams remaining.

To be fair GS freshers week is sh*t they went to the cinema and for a meal think for their events?? Wer as JS we had back to school nite, Stag and Hen (prob the best nite, you get so wasted and have to go to durham the next day for matriculation) this was crashed by GS people this year. Its just 5 days of getting drunk. This year we started lectures on the 6th which was 3 days after we arrived, registration is b4 that. But if you have done A Level biology or biology based degree you can skip most of these (I did) esp Arto's lectures ya can't understanding ne way.

M8, you obviously didnt read my post.

3 events per night. So a person can go to ONE of the events. Clubbing is one event, if you dont want to go clubbing then go to the kabins or cinema or somewhere.

Every single night clubbing in Borough, around Stockton etc.

And hailz we have lectures in that week

k ur kinda digging urself into a hole - Ciaran 2005, put the spade down. Oh and for ur information they change the freshers events every year and not everyone is interested in drinking - although this is defo not applicable to me (ex-club rep and wannabe freshers rep!!). I have to say the drinking freshers events were probably the worst ive encountered this year (esp from john gay college) - so cant wait till im let loose at em mwhahahaha.

I had arto for loads of lectures last yr and u can understand him.

What everybody living in thought the snow events were good except for the bollywood ball. I had good freshers and people who I no who i talked to had good week prob didn't get as drunk as everybody else hailz ;-) (did you not enjoy stag 'n' hen?). Ok i must have been misinformed about stevo's freshers week i apologies, but lots your guys showed up at our nites out. Hailz who you hoping to be freshers rep for stevo or "john gay college"?
On different note the event for friday gonna be good rocket opens at 12!! You guys set for it?

14 hours of pure drinkingness i brought my outfit 2day....... I wasnt allowed on any of the john gay events cause im a returning student and they didnt give me a booklet - idiots. Yep freshers rep for john gay college. Sorry but i'll always be a stephenson college member at heart and 2 me it'll always be known as john gay college.
