nice one.
some of my friends have recommended the anatomy colouring book - any thoughts?
btw www.bookbutler.co.uk is a handy site to get the cheapest books, it searches about 30 online bookshops

The Anatomy Colouring Book is apparently pretty good, though I must admit I have never used it myself... Have a look in somewhere like Waterstone's, they usually have a copy so you can have a look for yourself.
I wouldn't bother buying it before you start, get it if you have trouble remembering things from the anatomy workbooks and Moore's.
If you have a book voucher I would use it for Moore's Clinically Oriented Anatomy - damned good anatomy text

Do those books on the list really cost £700? Thats a huge amount of money for books! Do people sell them second hand or anything?

They really do cost that much, but believe me, you really do NOT need all of them, not at all.
I'd stick with the ones mentioned in the booklist I've given in the first post along with maybe one or two others... They are the only ones that are really necessary, most of the extra books on the list are just mentioned as "special interests" (i.e. if you found a topic fascinating consider buying them, otherwise leave well alone).Steven

Updates to include a couple more books and links... Probably the last edition of the list for some time.

Is the booklist quite similar to the one for The University of Newcastle as well?
Newcastle Ahoy!

Hello!
I'm new to the board and am heading to durham QC in october (can't wait!) and just wanted to ask a quick q regarding the book situation. I have a copy of "big moore" that a friend gave me, however it is not a new edition (its a good 10yrs old) and I just wondered whether I need to get a new copy or can I stick with the copy i have?
thanks
Phil
