Current medical/health issues

Hi you guys,

I thought we could start a thread to share some possible medical current events that may come up and possible questions related to it!
This way, we'll all be researching different topics which will help all of us with the interview!

I think in general they give you the choice of what current medical issues/events you want to talk about. So keep up to date with the topical news and have something in mind before you do the interview.

Thanks Ghis09....it really helps that we have a choice and that they don't ask us specifically on one topic!! I guess I'm prepared for that....fingers crossed!!

It would be rather unfair if they expected you to know the ongoings from the past few months...and its not the fact that you look at the news regularly that they are interested in , the question usually would revolve around what you opinion of it is and what is your thought process in regards to it. So try not to pick something obscure or you'll run outta things to say fast.

You could talk about how Simon Jenkins, a writer for the Guardian, has denied the link between HIV and AIDS, believes swine flu was a drug company invention and is still allowed to write columns on science...
