They award points for all the criteria they look for in a similar way, come up with an application score for each candidate and then invite the ones with the highest score to interview. After interview they give you a score for how you did there and then they do something with the two numbers to get a final score (can't remember what % they use each score as). Offers will be made to those with the highest overall scores.

Yeah I don't think anybody is gonna hear for at least another couple of weeks. One girl from last year mentioned that the offers started coming on the 20th Feb last cycle, but there is absolutely no guarantee that it will be the same this year and, as I've already said, admissions staff stated that some candidates will not hear until the middle of the year.

It's really, really stressful. I've been doing ok the last couple of weeks but, as it draws nearer to when they are supposed to start, I feel myself getting back into that pretty much constant state of anxiety that I was in at the end of Nov/start of Dec. when the interviews were supposed to come out.

What?! How did you hear that?

Unless it's because lots of people couldn't make their slots because of the snow. They said that quite a few had to miss it, so maybe that's the only time they could get people in?

My friend received an invitation for interview a few days ago for March. She was initially rejected back at December but e-mailed back asking for feedback! They then said they'd look over her UCAS application again!

Wow, I bet she is dancing right now.

One has to wonder though, if they use the interview score and the application score together to decide on offers/rejections, how much chance does a person have if they were "borderline" in terms of their application? I suppose it's perfectly possible to nail the interview though, you never know I guess. A potentially small chance is better than no chance at all!
