Heya!
My interview was in early January (6th I think)....Last year they decided who they wanted to interview and then sent out emails on MyDundee (you get a MyDundee account with your acknowledgment) After getting the email you could choose which date and time you wanted your interview. I chose the first day because I was feeling quite confident after getting my first offer about half an hour before =p, I think that the dates ran over two weeks but I'm not 100% sure
For preparation, I changed myvhome page to BBC NEWS | Health and read the articles everyday - to be sure that I was up on current medical issues. I made sure that I knew about MMC and the new career structures for Doctors. I made sure that I understood the structure of the course at Dundee and could say what I liked/disliked about it. Aside from that I just went through possible questions in my head and practised coming up with good answers for them quickly, I didn't rehearse/memorise any answers though.
Yeah our interview was 10 mini stations, each one 7 mins long I think. I was a little bit apprehensive about it, but once I got into the flow of things it wasn't too bad. Some of the stations are practical activities and can't really be prepared for and some are just standard questions. It's a really good system, if you mess up a couple of stations (as I did =p) it doesn't mean that you are completely stuffed.
Good luck =pDundee Medic 2009

Thanks so much Yosuis, it's great to get a little insight into the interview system. Dundee is my first choice after visiting the school this summer I really liked the look of it ... here's hoping

I haven't heard anything either, not even an acknowlegement. I suppose they have thousands of applications to go through so it's a timely process. I think it's probably best to start doing interview perparation now just in case you're called for an interview at the last minute.

I havent heard anything either. Called up admissions a couple of days ago, they said they don't send out acknowledgements...and that all interviews are held in the first two weeks of january. They also said you should hear whether or not youve got an interview by early december. So yeah I'm getting fairly restless aswell...but theres no need to worry: they might not send out anything to anyone for another 3/4 weeks.
Which is annoying...but there you go :P
