    Stethoscopes?

Hey, wondering if anyone can help me.

When I got my offer, a friend of the family got me a Sprague Stethoscope from the Glasgow University shop as a gift. However I noticed that the stethoscope being offered by the University is a 3M Littman Classic II SE stethoscope. I'm just wondering if my stethoscope will be OK to use on the course. Thanks!

Most stethoscopes will be fine for the duration of medical school. Sure, most people will use the Littmann SEII buts its no big deal. In first year you'll only really need it for cardiology; where you'll be taught how to use both the diaphragm and bell ends for their respective auscultation points. Hope this helps.
