Graduate Accomodation
I was wondering what the general consensus was for graduates coming to Dundee.
As far as I know there is no specific graduate university accomodation in Dundee (apart from the nurses residence - awful!).
Friends have told me that the accomodation officers do try and place graduates together in accomodation though.
Is anybody renting a private flat/looking for someone to rent with?
Thanks,
Alex

Hi Alex,
I was thinking of renting private accommodation for sure, whereabouts in particular did you have in mind? PM me if you like,

I'm a current 2nd year (post-grad) here. I came over from Ireland and chose halls because of the convenience. I had lived in private rental acc for my previous 4 years in Dublin but didn't have time (or energy) to search for private rentals. I lived in Seabraes last year, pros and cons on both sides. Living in halls (I didn't have any experience before) was great for meeting people, especially those outside medicine. My flat and the one above were all post grads. Halls is not the most luxurious experience but it served me well, however, I now live in my own place and rent out the extra room.
On the other side, a couple friends who moved to the area found it a little more difficult to settle in initially, but it all worked out. I guess it all comes down to the person and situation. Good Luck!
