Is there such thing as an introduction to dentistry course
Just wondering if there was any such thing as an n introduction to dentistry course. I.e. a short course where you get some up close experience of dentistry.
Ideally this is what you would get from work exp, but I'd like it on a plate!

M & D Conferences - For prospective Medical & Dental Students
it says that its for medicine and dentistry applicants but it is heavily aimed at medical applicants. There are some parts which can cross over into both though. They also have a separate session at one point for dentists which lasts about 1 hour. If you have the money to spend then go for it, and it does coun as a sort of work experience, but it isn't worth the money.

Liverpool university used to run a course called, "So you want to be a dentist" Although I think they have since stopped running it now. It was a day taster course about dentistry, but it may be worth contacting the administrator of the dental school to see if they have since resurrected it.
